Certification
Description
DoD 5220.22‐M
DoD 5220.22‐M – This standard defines methods of sanitizing digital media. This standard was superseded by the NIST standard. (Certified in 2006)
NIST SP 800‐88r1
NIST SP 800‐88r1 – This is the latest revision of the NIST standard for digital media sanitization. The document defines methods for disposing and reusing digital media. (Certified in 2014)
ADISA – The Asset Disposal and Information Security Alliance or ADISA operates a research center that can corroborate digital media sanitization claims. ADISA offers two levels of scrutinization. The first level uses non-destructive, commercially available COTS tools to retrieve data. The second level uses destructive techniques to read the memory chips directly. This certification indicates that U-Reach sanitization functions such as NIST Clear and Purge are implemented correctly. (Certified in 2021)
SGS is a world-leading inspection, verification, testing, and certification company. Their third-party laboratory uses sophisticated software techniques to corroborate data sanitization claims. This service was used to verify our DoD erase function. (Certified in 2021)
The OnTrack, a KLDiscovery business, is a certification organization provides data erasure verification service. Ontrack offers two levels of scrutinization. The first level uses proprietary data recovery software tools to perform verification. The second level removes NAND chips from the controller and retrieve data. This certification indicates that U-Reach Data Eraser such as NIST Clear is implemented correctly. (Certified in 2022)
